2018’S BEAUTY MINDSET
As much as the opinion about New Year’s resolutions is divided, there is no denying that January often calls for a new mindset, one which might undergo several changes throughout the year, but a lovely motivation nonetheless. Talking personal on this little corner is still a scary thought today yet, beauty blog demands, I’m happy to write about my 2018’s beauty mindset.
DESIRE FOR SIMPLICITY
Starting by contradicting myself with the only beauty point which, perhaps, also applies to my personal life. Beauty wise, however, I come to realize that a love for beauty’s only drawback is its tendency to make things complicated, the constant testing and trying novelties, the millions of steps added to the beauty routine without mentioning the weird and the surreal. On this beginning of year, I crave a beauty routine which doesn’t give me headaches, a natural makeup and a skincare stash reduced to the essential.
THE BODY TOO
Now with less time spent on hair, makeup and skincare, I think it is time to start acknowledging the body. If the body also needs hydration on the daily, it requires something else than just a few creams and potions to look -and feel- good: moving more and paying more attention to what I eat are amongst my beauty priorities at this beginning of the year.
All of the above truly means one thing, expanding my definition of beauty, acknowledging that there is more to it than beauty products and accepting the hazard of it all. Confidence, happiness, life and -well, how convenient is that- the right mindset matter as much as the rest.
