BEAUTY HAUL: THE EXPECTATIONS -6- IT COSMETICS

Ever since the Your Skin But Better Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream has become many bloggers’ favourite CC cream, if not foundation, It Cosmetics has been in the back of my mind yet, realistically, it takes me a while to actually pull the order button as my list of brands to try is a never-ending one. Nonetheless, as bases and mascaras are two of my most used makeup items, I’ve picked up the Your Skin But Better Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream -Anti-Aging Hydrating Serum SPF 50+ UVA/UVB- and the Tightline Waterproof 3-in-1 Black Primer Eyeliner Mascara.

Even though autumn and winter are usually calling for heavier makeup, all I’ve been wanting lately is a lightweight base and mascara in which I feel comfortable all day long. While a heavy base feels and looks too makeupey, cakey at the end of the day,  too many coats of mascara become too heavy on my tired eyes. The Your Skin But Better Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream promises all of that with an added bonus: a decent pigmentation and coverage. As I’m currently feeling the CC + Cream on the back of my hand, I’m a little bit surprised by its thick consistency, the shade Fair would also require some lightening drops to perfectly match my skintone -which is something I’m quite used to now- but, overall, I find the coverage rather impressive for a CC Cream. Because it is a primer, the Tightline Waterproof 3-in-1 Black Primer Eyeliner Mascara seems perfect when it comes to lightly and naturally coating the lashes. Finally, the tiny, thin wand really speaks to me as it must be able to grab every one of my thin, short lashes with precision.

-As always, I would share my first impressions about the It Cosmetics CC+ Cream and Mascara in a week’s time-

  • IT Cosmetics CC Cream is the only CC Cream that I love! It’s so beautiful on the face and I love that it has high SPF too. Really am looking forward to your review on it.

    • I’m so glad to hear that, yes, I do love the high SPF as well, especially as my autumn has been pretty sunny so far!

  • I am currently going for a lighter base as well, even though the season calls for a heavier base. Just like you I am all about the comfort right now.

    • Glad to hear that 🙂 I’ve just been realizing lately that most foundations have become a little bit uncomfortable to wear for me, and, for that reason, it had an impact on the way I move… I don’t know, I’m just feeling it on my skin and I’m constantly worrying I’m going to stain my turtleneck, things like that..

      • And that happened over time? Or just with new foundations?

        • A little bit of both: it is always something I feel at that time of the year as my days get busier and longer yet it is also due to the fact that I’ve been trying a couple of new foundations which sit weirdly on top of the skin!

  • I’m looking forward to your review because this has been on my wishlist for a while! xx

  • Would love to hear your thoughts on the CC cream soon, I really do prefer light coverage so CC and BB creams are fine by me!
