DEAR CLEANSER LOVERS: THE OMOROVICZA HYDRA MELTING CLEANSER
From the sound of its name to its packagings or even the bright blue shade of one of its items: whether we like it or not, these things matter as much as the amount of good things we’ve heard about a skincare brand. Every time I stumble across Omorovicza, it felt like a brand which would suit both my sensitive skin and luxurious skincare tastes. And through the Hydra Melting Cleanser, I got to discover the brand’s attention to consistency, scent and ingredients, all of which met my expectations.
With its giant, clean and sturdy packaging, its refreshing pop of blue in the middle, the Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser is the kind of cleansers which rest proudly in my bathroom cabinet rather than a practical, travel-friendly one: it’s heavy and the pot and formula can become quite messy if used in a hurry. It’s the type of second cleanses I use calmly and quietly, something I devote time to.
It also requires a little bit of practice to learn how to make the best use of the bright lagoon blue consistency which has the lightweight, bouncy texture of a gel with a slightly more liquidey, lotion-like feel to it. Applying it on dry skin but massaging it in with wet hands doesn’t ruin the refreshing -quick deep in the sea- scent. It also takes away the original stickiness of the gel and transforms it into a beautiful consistency; a summery take on cleansing milks: something fresh and thin, extremely slippery and massage worthy.
Once rinsed, the skin is fresh, smooth, perfectly cleansed and respected at the same time: the ingredient list avoids anything too superficial and irritating, but also anything too simple and common. The Omorovicza Hydra Melting Cleanser is expensive and definitely not something I would share with somebody who hates to cleanse: it’s for the ones who like their makeup removing process to be as gentle and long as possible, leaving the bathroom feeling as fancy as the product they’ve just used.
