How did I come across Beauty…

I thought It was about time that I talk about myself and more specifically about why do I love beauty and have a beauty blog.

So, as you may already guess, my name is Fanny I am French, 20 and I just completed my Bachelor Degree in Cinema (in Lille, France), which is basically film analyses, I am now pursuing my studies. I truly enjoy my studies, but recently I felt like I needed to also explore another interest of mine, which is anything beauty related, and if all my friends from University love cinema as much as I do, nobody of those close to me loves makeup and skincare as much as I do. That is why I am writing this blog. And if I am writing it in English, this is simply because I am not quite pleased with my current English’s level, but also because I was already only reading blogs written in English.

Back to the post’s title : How did I come across Beauty …

How did I come across Beauty...

I own a sensitive skin, and, five years ago, I was not aware of that, and started to do allergies to certain products. So, little by little, I started to do some research on the internet in order to find better moisturizers and serums… and find very attractive and interesting discovering new brands and looking at the ingredients… and above all, since I was a girl who has complexes about my skin, I found fascinating – and I still find fascinating – that, with ultra simple gestures, it is possible to improve my -any- skin.

I guess that is how my love for skincare started. As for makeup, I would say that it was – again- linked with my complexes, I wanted more defined eyebrows, I wanted to extend my eyes… Actually, I remember, during my last year of college, trying everyday a new makeup look – cream coloured kohl…- with the sole purpose of having bigger eyes. Nonetheless, it was not just about my complexes, the fact is, if someone starts to read articles or blog posts about skincare, he automatically starts to read things about makeup as well, since beauty bloggers, magazines usually speak about both. And sometimes, purely for the beauty of the makeup product you see on a magazine, you buy something from Bobbi Brown or Mac – which are brands I did not know before reading beauty articles-.

I believe that summarises quite well my story with makeup and skincare, I sincerely hope you do not mind me talking a little bit more about myself, I hope my English was not too bad as well.

Finally, I just wanted to let you know that it has been three weeks now that I am trying a new rhythm for my blog and I am now formalising it so I am uploading a new post every Monday and Friday evenings -French time-
