Last week, Yiota from the lovely Pink Daisy Loves blog – you will find a picture and link of her blog in the slider below if you fancy a good read- nominated me for the Liebster award. I’m very grateful to her – thank you Yiota if you’re reading this – as this is exactly the kind of things which motivates me to write more posts and to be even more committed to my blog.
THE RULES FOR THE LIEBSTER AWARD ARE QUITE SIMPLE
– I directly borrowed them from Pink Daisy Loves as she really well explains them-
You have to mention and thank the blog that nominated you in a blog post.
You then have to answer the questions which were asked by the blog that nominated you.
Then it’s your turn to nominate 11 other new bloggers.
Set 11 new questions for your nominees to answer.
Inform those people who you nominated, that they were nominated for the Liebster Award, and provide a link to your post so they can learn more about it.
The Liebster award is given to small and medium bloggers -usually less than 200 followers- in order to help them connect with each others. As for the questions, I believe it is a great way for my readers to, perhaps, get to know me a little bit better and I really enjoyed answering Yiota’s questions. Finally, I also thought I would tell you why I love the blogs I’ve nominated.
WHERE DO YOU LIVE?
I live in France.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE QUOTE?
I’m quite bad at quotes yet I will choose LESS IS MORE. It’s both a beauty and life-related quote in my point of view as I try to stay away from eccentric behaviours and I like simple things.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK?
Tales of the Jazz Age by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
WHEN DID YOU START BLOGGING AND WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE THING ABOUT IT?
I started in early June -2015- and I like to find people as passionate as I am about beauty. I like to write and, hopefully, improve my skills in English.
IF YOU COULD TIME TRAVEL TO ANY DECADE IN THE 20TH CENTURY, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
The 1920’s/ 1930’s because I’ve read too many times E. Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novels.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE COLOUR?
Deep navy blue.
WHERE DID YOU LAST GO ON HOLIDAY?
I’ve stayed in France as I went to the mountains.
IF YOU WON THE LOTTERY WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU’D BUY?
Probably a beautiful flat in a city where I’ve always wanted to live.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BEAUTY PRODUCT?
A specific one or in general? I absolutely love removing my makeup so it would probably be a cleansing milk; otherwise at the moment I’m completely in love with the Chanel Hydra Beauty Micro Serum.
LIPSTICK OR MASCARA?
Very hard to choose yet because I quite like my natural lip colour I would say mascara.
TOP THREE TV SHOWS?
-TV series are usually the only TV shows I watch- Even harder to choose, movie and series play an important part in my life: The Sopranos and Six Feet Under because I develop such a strong attachment to the characters and finally Friends because it is a very comforting show to watch and it never fails to make me smile. The same goes for Parks and Recreation – I had to put 4 of them, sorry! –
HERE ARE THE BLOGS I TRULY ADMIRE AND NOMINATE:
the Beauty Inbox: for the beautiful pictures, a lot of Mac reviews and the lovely serie Fives Minutes With where we get to know a lot of beauty professionals.
coveted beauty: quite a new discovery, but I already love how informative her reviews are.
Beautylymin: For some good skincare reviews and empties, to learn more about perfumes and have some honest opinions on makeup items.
Linda, Libra, Loca: Even though Anne definitely has more than 200 followers, I thought I would mention her because her skincare reviews are the most informative ones I’ve ever read and she always have funny ways to introduce them, and, for this reason, I believe she deserves even more followers.
The Beauty Anecdote: Again, this is quite a new discovery, but I really enjoy reading Vanesa’s makeup reviews about brands which I generally don’t know very well.
Pretty Neutral: I love how creative Ellen is with her makeup looks.
Brigitte Hayley: I’ve just discovered this blog, but I really like it, it is a great balance between fashion and beauty.
Kat Horrocks: I particularly love this blog for all the posts about wellness and self-confidence, but it is also a great blog to look at if you’re searching for Beauty Gurus to follow on social media, or great makeup tips!
Ela Bella World: Again, Ela has more than 200 followers on Bloglovin’, yet I really wanted to mention her blog as she likes doing in-depth reviews about – for the most part- affordable beauty products and I personally enjoy these!
This Damsel Loves: Quite a new blog to me – I’ve been having more time to comment and discover new blogs recently, hence why most of them are new to me- but I really enjoy how informative and honest Lisa’s posts are.
Randomstein: This blog is a little bit different from the other ones as the main focus isn’t beauty, yet I find the concept very interesting and the pictures are always gorgeous!
