The Faithful -7- Makeup edition
1- Chanel Rouge coco 434 Mademoiselle
–For more informations about the formula– A sheer lipstick which is still pigmented enough to colour my natural dark lips with this gorgeous mainly brown shade – tiny hint of old pink and coral as well-. As lovely to put on and wear as a lipbalm, it is also surprisingly quite long-lasting, a couple of touch-ups a day will be enough. The finish varies from sheer to satin depending on how long it has been on the lips. I just think the shade and the finish together create a stunning, sophisticated effect while being quite versatile and adaptable to a lot of various makeup looks.
2- Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture in 8 Fuchsia Cubiste
Not a fuchsia I’m afraid – Unfortunately the picture doesn’t do it justice either- , it’s a deep pink with a lot of cranberry and deep red undertones in it which goes with a lot of clothes and makeup looks without being too outstanding. As I’ve said before : thanks to the soft, slightly rounded brush, it is an easy one to apply as well as a long-lasting one which also happens to be pigmented and quite shiny – though I would advise two coats and a top coat-.
3- Pixi Mattelustre lipstick in Bitten Rose
A satin finish lipstick which becomes matte throughout the day while remaining super lightweight on the lips and not drying what so ever. It does require a certain amount of time to properly setting it on the lips yet, following these awkward minutes, it doesn’t move or if it does, it’s so subtle that I’m probably the only one to notice it! Colour-wise, it’s a gorgeous old pink with a hint of brown in it, becoming the shade I wear with the simple foundation- concealer-brows- mascara look as it still is a neutral shade. It just adds something special while enhancing my fair complexion.
4- Real Techniques 103 exclusive angled powder brush -from the bold metals collection essentials-
This is quite a new addition to my brush collection yet, as I mentioned earlier this month, this super soft brush is perfect for applying bronzer as it naturally, thanks to the angle, distributes less product on the top of the cheek; and then diffuses in a wider and less densely way as it moves closer to the hairline. It passes the washing test beautifully by not changing a bit, staying soft and drying very quickly. It just brings some gentleness into the makeup routine.
